I bought the mixed bag and received 7 instead of 6 and all 7 are growing. Unfortunately, only 1 is different from the rest, but they are all in excellent shape and growing.

Pros:
  • hardy plants
  • healthy root stock
  • low cost
Cons:
  • none
I am a first time buyer, never purchased plants on-line..especially bare roots. My hostess were well packed in peat moss, in sealed plastic bags. It took me a few days to get them planted due to rain, but every one of them sprouted colorful leaves within days, and are now thriving. I spent the same amount for 10 plants that I would on a single 1 gallon plant.

I love my mixed bag of hostas. All arrived timely and ALL are alive and well so price was perfect! Eventually, they’ll surround some red astilbe in the middle of the area. This did wonders for my front door. Quality plants and quality service. Thanks Holland Bulb Farms!

I can't say enough great things about this value bag!

Pros:
  • Beautiful leaf color and texture
  • Fast leaf and height growth
  • Amazing price
Cons:
This is the best purchase I have made for my yard since purchasing my home! I actually bought a second hosta value bag a month after the first because I was so impressed with the growth of the first 6 hostas. Gorgeous colors, textures, and sizes. Great hostas and value.....in a bag! I highly recommend soaking the bare roots in a water bath for an hour before planting.
